Ingredients:- |

2 cups Arhar Dal |
|
| |
|
4 cups Water |
|
| |
|
1 tsp Turmeric Powder |
|
| |
|
2 tbsp Oil |
|
| |
|
Coriander Leaves ( chopped) |
|
| |
|
3-4 Fresh Green Chillies |
|
| |
|
1 tsp Cumin |
|
| |
|
2 pieces of Ginger ( Chopped ) |
|
| |
|
1/2 Lemon |
|
| |
|
Salt to taste |
|

How to make Arhar Dal: |
| |
|
| |
• Wash arhar dal properly and soak for 30 min in water.
• Add arhar dal about 4 cups of water, turmeric and salt.
• Cook in a pressure cooker or a big pan and cook till dal becomes soft and consistent.
• Take a frying pan with oil.
• Add cumin fry it till it turns reddish after that add chopped ginger and onion mix well and fry the mixture it the mixture get reddish in color.
• Remove the pan and add this masala to cooked dal and garnish the dish with coriander leaves.
• Arhar Dal is ready.

1 Freshly baked or broiled Brijal |
|
| |
|
2 Green chilies, finely chopped |
|
| |

3 Onions, Chopped |
|
| |
|
1 tsp coriander powder |
|
| |
|
1 tsp cumin |
|
| |
|
1⁄2 tsp Haldi |
|
| |
|
1 tsp Garam masala |
|
| |
|
3 piece of ginger finely Chopped |
|
| |
|
2 large cloves garlic, minced |
|
| |
|
2 tbsp ghee |
|
|
| |
|
2 Coriander Leaves ( chopped) |
|
|
| |
|
Salt to taste |

Method:-
|
| |
Take out the skin and pulp the brinjal.
Heat the ghee and add cumin fry it till cumin become brown in color.
Add chopped ginger and garlic fry for a while then add onion, green chillies and fry till the mixture becomes brown in color.
Put the Haldi, coriander powder and garam masala and cook for a minute
Add the pulp, mix and cook for about 5 to 10 minutes and garnish chopped green coriander leaves.

400 gms potato |
|
| |
|
2 onion ( chopped) |

| |

2 Green chilies, finely chopped |

| |

1 cup mustard oil |
|
| |
|
2 bay leaves |
|
| |
|
1⁄2" peace of cinnamon |
|
| |
|
3 cloves |
|
| |
|
2 cardamoms |
|
| |
|
1 tsp garam masala powder |
|
| |
|
1 tsp cumin seeds powder |
|
|
| |
|
1 tbsp coriander powder |
|
|
| |
|
Salt to taste |

For garnishing : |

Coriander leaves (chopped)

Method :
|
| |
Peel the potatoes and cut into cubes.
Heat the mustard oil, Add the bay leaves and other whole spices and allow to splutter.
Add the onion and fry till it is a light golden brown in colour.
Mix potato pieces and fry over a low flame, covering it.
Add 2 cups of water and stir from time to time, and add the garam masala powder and cook till the potato are tender.
Transfer to a serving dish and serve garnished with chopped coriander leaves. |
